How has climate change impacted the world over the last 10 years and what can we do about it?
Climate change is an ongoing global issue that has many impacts across different parts of the world. In the past decade, we have already witnessed some of the devastation caused by climate change.
What has happened in the last 10 years?*
Carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels grew 10%.
Carbon emissions trapped inside the globe are forcing global warming to rapidly increase to higher and much more dangerous levels of heat globally.
These high level temperatures are increasing temperature instability and negatively impacting the natural environment.
Global temperatures have risen 1.1 degrees above pre-industrial levels.
In 2019, data showed that global temperatures are continuing to rise rapidly and are causing severe weather forecasting instability. In addition, research has shown that these rising temperatures are mainly caused by toxic waste, carbon emissions and other pollutants.
The ice caps are melting!
As each decade passes, ice mass has melted 13 percent. In the last decade, studies have shown that ice caps and glaciers have melted to their lowest masses since 1979. Loss of ice can impact sea levels and change landscapes that can also lead to more severe levels of global warming.
Despite all of this and the ongoing issue that is climate change, there are ways in which we can lend a helping hand to the environment and help preserve our global ecological health.

Water saving solutions
Introducing water saving solutions is an ongoing necessity considering water consumption continues to rise to unsafe levels while we face climate change.
Reusable water tanks and recycled water saving tanks are effective in managing water waste and making water recyclable in Australian homes. Making sure you switch off the taps when brushing your teeth and using a broom instead of hose when cleaning driveways and backyards are easy ways to save on water waste. And don’t forget- a short shower is a good shower!
