Isabella Nichols on Hand to Share the Stoke at Broadbeach

ACCIONA’s second surf day for the summer was held on the Gold Coast on Sunday, 11 December 2022, where employees, their families and friends learnt to surf at Broadbeach.

Surfing Australia hosted the day at the Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club, and ACCIONA Ambassador and World Tour Surfer Isabella Nichols was on hand to share the stoke. Unfortunately, a recent concussion sustained while training for the 2023 tour kept Bella out of the water, but everyone was happy to get some photos with the surfing star, and Bella got to meet more of our Queensland team.

Bella said all the surfers were “reaping the health benefits of being in the outdoors and learning to surf”. And that’s one the main reasons behind our ongoing partnership with Surfing Australia: to create a mentally healthy community through wellbeing promotion, support and skills.

Conditions at Broadbeach are ideal for surf lessons with warm water, patrolled beaches, and one of Australia’s most iconic surf destinations: it has a spectacular skyline and a brilliant stretch of coastline.
