• Congratulations to Coleman Rail, who recently picked up the Rail Track Association Australia (RTAA) Australasian Rail Diversity Award.

The RTAA seeks to recognise and acknowledge members who meet standards of excellence in the promotion of diverse and inclusive workforces within their organisation. To achieve this, the RTAA established the annual Australasian Rail Diversity Award.

Chair of the Diversity Committee, David Bainbridge said, “Coleman Rail provided a really compelling submission that clearly demonstrated the drive and passion within the organisation to be a leader in diversity.”

Keys to the award were (1) Coleman Rail’s focus on diversity was much wider than simply women in rail and extended to senior workers, the disadvantaged, Indigenous and the next generation; (2) their level of participation in the rail industry, and their support for industry associations that promote diversity; and (3) the programs on offer delivering real benefit for workers.

General Manager Sean Bonham said, “I want to congratulate Coleman Rail on winning the 2020 RTAA Australasian Rail Diversity Award. And give a special mention to Aimee Najdovski, Fusun Yalcin, Kate Hyams and Gaia Milanesi for our work in the diversity space and for our submission.”
