ACCIONA Australia, Energy Managing Director Brett Wickham has today announced a range of new local sponsorship recipients, continuing the company’s longstanding financial support for local community groups and events.

Fourteen organisations will benefit from the funding this year, dividing over $20,000 between them to use for a variety of projects and events.

Mr. Brett Wickham said: “We’re really pleased to support these great local organisations who contribute so much to their communities.”
“We’re also grateful for the ongoing support of the local community, and look forward to seeing the benefits of this program being enjoyed for many years to come.”

ACCIONA established the Mortlake South Wind Farm community sponsorship program in 2010. Since then it has contributed over $130,000 to local community and sporting groups in Mortlake, Noorat, Kolora and Terang.

The small grants and sponsorship program is part of Mortlake South Wind Farm’s broader
Shared Benefits Program. ACCIONA is committed to improving the social and economic platform of the region and sharing the benefits of the project as widely and equitably as possible.
