Sustainable Development Goals

ACCIONA's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its contribution toward meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations that require active involvement by companies, as well as many other agents.

The 17 goals are broad and interdependent, yet each has a separate list of targets to achieve by 2030. Achieving all 169 targets would signal accomplishing all 17 goals. The SDGs cover issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, global warming, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice. The goals apply equally to Australia and Australians as they do internationally.

ACCIONA is doing its part to help Australia meet the Sustainable Development Goals

ACCIONA contributes with its projects to key goals such as access to clean water and sanitation (no. 6), affordable and clean energy (no. 7), industry, innovation and infrastructure (no. 9) and mitigating climate change (no. 13). To a different extent, it also contributes to the rest of the goals through the initiatives included in the Sustainability Master Plan.
