Moulamein is a small community in the Murray River Council area and is the oldest town in the Murray region with a proud history of being a strong and empowered community. 

The Moulamein Preschool is the only early childhood education provider within a 50km radius of the township, providing essential early education opportunities for children from the local community. It is a not-for-profit community-run preschool, licensed to provide early childhood education for 20 children.

The Moulamein Preschool Yabby Races and Easter Fair, held annually, raises funds to support the delivery of the community run preschool. Funds raised help to ensure that children in the Moulamein community, and surrounds, continue to receive quality early childhood education in the years before starting formal schooling. Members of the Acciona Energia team have been visiting the community of Moulamein for some time and were delighted to be a part of this community event.

Funds raised from this year’s event will be put towards a planned extension and renovation of the preschool building, with plans for additional services, including a day care service, to run in conjunction with the existing Preschool program in future years. The Approved Provider of the service is a Management Committee made up of volunteers with varied backgrounds who work together to introduce their knowledge and skills to the overall operations of the organisation. 

Operating Monday - Wednesday, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, the preschool program focuses on delivering a program which is engaging and allows children to learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
