• The Mortlake South Wind Farm invited the community to attend an open day on the 28th of November and learn about wind energy.

The event, which was supported by staff from ACCIONA Energía's Melbourne office and the Mortlake South Wind Farm, was a great success and was attended by approximately 150 community members.

The day consisted of bus tours from the towns of Mortlake and Terang to right underneath a wind turbine. At the turbine, the community were able to learn about how they are built, how they work, and the capabilities of wind energy.

After the bus tour, visitors stopped in at the operations building where they could get more information about the project and talk to ACCIONA Energía staff. There was live music delivered by local bands and attendees enjoyed a BBQ fundraiser courtesy of the Mortlake Lions Club. There was also an activity tent set up for children to join in on the fun.

We received great feedback about the project as well as very informative questions and interest from the community. Thank you to everyone who attended!
