• Works are progressing as planned at our East Rockingham Waste to Energy Plant in Western Australia.

The project is being led by John Beever Australia and ACCIONA, with sister company Geotech contracted to undertake the piling and initial civil works.

ACCIONA has locally acquired all preliminary site access works including clearing and bulk earthworks, piling platforms, storm water ponds and major subbase preparation for the roads and process plant all undertaken by CGH Civil Contractors.

The project is in final negotiation for the main Civil package of works as well as undertaking constructability reviews for offsite pre-assembly and site installation works with local Structural and Mechanical Contractors for overall project planning.

Piling on the Bunker Area Secant Wall has been completed, whilst the excavation, pile trimming, and capping beams have commenced with the remaining piling works scheduled for completion by mid October 2020.

The Geotech piling crew are all local employees, a reflection of ACCIONA’s growing presence in Western Australia, and made up essentially of the same crew that successfully completed the piling works at our neighbouring Kwinana WtE plant.
