ACCIONA has introduced fully equipped, mobile amenity vans to support crews working off-site, ensuring access to essential facilities while on site.

The 'MacroVan' provide workers with a range of conveniences including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, refrigeration, cooking facilities and a bathroom, reducing the challenges of working away from the main site officers

Geraldine Teggart, a Roller Operator on the Western Power’s Clean Energy Link - North project, explained how the vans make a difference for teams in the field.

"This van has absolutely everything we need while we're working off-site," Geraldine said.

"We have a fridge for cold water, a microwave, a kitchenette with running water, and even a fully functioning bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower," she said.

The vans also feature a dining area, charging ports for electronic devices and climate control systems to maintain a comfortable environment.

These facilities allow workers to rest, prepare meals and stay connected, even when operating far from established infrastructure.

Providing these amenities supports productivity and safety by reducing the need for long travel times to access basic services. It also helps maintain morale among crews working in challenging conditions.

The use of mobile amenity solutions reflects a growing focus on workforce comfort in large-scale construction projects.

ACCIONA plans to continue deploying similar facilities across remote worksites to ensure employees have access to essential services, contributing to safer and more sustainable project delivery.
