ACCIONA Energía announced today the appointment of Gavin Reymond as Managing Director of ACCIONA Energía in Australia. He is commencing his new role today, 1 September 2025, reporting directly to the company’s CEO Arantza Ezpeleta.

Reymond, a civil engineer with more than 30 years of experience, was most recently Group Head of Strategy & Transformation at ACCIONA's Australian Infrastructure business, where he directed the division’s renewable energy investment and development. Prior to this, he was the Executive Regional Manager for New South Wales, where he was responsible for ensuring the delivery of critical infrastructure projects such as Western Sydney Airport, Sydney Metro and Western Harbour Tunnel.

“I’m very excited to take on this new role in ACCIONA Energía and looking forward to continuing to develop leading renewable energy projects in Australia”, said Reymond.

“We are at a critical time for the energy transition with real progress being made to reduce emissions in Australia and ACCIONA Energía is taking a leading role in the development of a low-carbon economy,’’ he added. “

Australia is a key investment priority for ACCIONA Energía globally and we have a robust pipeline of clean energy projects in development, including the commissioning of the largest wind farm in the Southern Hemisphere.”

“I look forward to continuing to develop our renewable energy portfolio across Australia and to building on our demonstrated commitment to furthering innovation and sustainability in the sector.”

ACCIONA Energía is currently commissioning the largest wind farm in the Southern Hemisphere in southwestern Queensland and the 480MWp Aldoga Solar Farm outside Gladstone.
