Our Central West Orana project in New South Wales has been recognised by Project Finance International as the “Energy Operation of the Year in Asia-Pacific”.

This landmark deal will help unlock cleaner, more reliable energy for households and businesses while supporting long-term regional development.

Delivered through the ACEREZ consortium of ACCIONA, Grupo Cobra and Endeavour Energy (NSW), the Central West Orana project is one of the first of its kind in Australia to use an innovative public private financing model.

This structure gives confidence to investors and communities, helping to accelerate the infrastructure needed for a low carbon economy.

The project will enable new renewable generation and strengthen the grid in regional New South Wales. Better connections create opportunities for local jobs, new industries and more resilient communities as Australia shifts towards sustainable energy.

The same PFI awards recognised the SR 400 Peach Partners consortium, including ACCIONA, for the “2025 Americas Infrastructure Deal of the Year” for the SR 400 Express Lanes project in Georgia, United States.
