ACCIONA has been selected by VicGrid as the development partner for the Gippsland offshore wind 2 gigawatt (GW) transmission project.

This critical infrastructure project will deliver the transmission infrastructure required to connect the first 2 GW of offshore wind generation in the Gippsland region to Victoria's electricity grid, supporting the state's long-term energy security and renewable energy ambitions.

The appointment marks a significant milestone in the development of one of Victoria's most important energy transmission projects. ACCIONA is proud to be working alongside VicGrid, government stakeholders, Traditional Owners, landholders, local communities and industry partners to help shape and refine the project as it progresses towards delivery.

As development partner, ACCIONA will be responsible for further developing the financing solution, design, and construction, operation and maintenance scope of the Gippsland offshore wind 2 GW transmission project.
