Legacy projects supported across Queensland, Victoria and South Australia in 2025 are creating lasting benefits for communities surrounding ACCIONA Energía's renewable energy projects, according to the company's latest community investment figures.

The support for legacy projects, which deliver long-term social, environmental and economic outcomes, complements ACCIONA Energía's Small Grants Program as part of the company's broader approach to community investment.

For the second consecutive year, ACCIONA Energía's community investment has exceeded the global average for organisations in the Business for Societal Impact (B4SI) network, according to the B4SI Annual Report 2025. ACCIONA Energía Australia invested 1.05% of its revenue back into the community in 2025 — well above the 0.15% average for B4SI's global membership.

The company has now benchmarked and reported its community impact against the global standard for two consecutive years, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to measuring and improving the impact of its community partnerships.

A major milestone in December 2025 was the launch of a legacy investment program in Queensland's Gladstone region, following the commencement of operations at the Aldoga Solar Farm. The first project supported through the program is the transformation of Calliope's historic RSL Memorial Hall into a vibrant community hub, with an $80,000 grant helping to repurpose the building.

Other legacy projects supported in 2025 are profiled in the Supporting our Communities report. They include:

• Community hub: The transformation of an historic RSL Memorial Hall in Gladstone, Queensland, into a vibrant community hub, with an $80,000 grant helping to repurpose the building.
• Improved mobile connectivity: A new permanent 4G Telstra tower at the MacIntyre Wind Farm is improving mobile phone reception for farmers and residents in a rural area in Queensland's Darling Downs.
• New community gym: A purpose-built community gym is being developed in the southern Queensland town of Inglewood, creating a new space for health, fitness and connection.
• Bushfire protection: A new 30,000-litre water tank is strengthening bushfire protection on the Eyre Peninsula, providing important infrastructure in the event of an emergency.
• New playground: A new playground in the small rural Victorian town of Waubra is creating a safe and welcoming place for local children, families and visitors.

In addition to its support for legacy projects, ACCIONA Energía provided $570,000 in small grants across Australia in 2025 — 7.5% more than in 2024. In total, 115 community groups received financial support, with increased investment in areas including education, the environment, social welfare and emergency relief.
