Achieving Steel Sustainability Australia Accreditation demonstrates ACCIONA's commitment to sustainable practices and reinforces our reputation for delivering projects that are distinctive for their innovation, sustainability, and social purpose.
ACCIONA's capability for Mechanical & Electrical excellence has been recognised with Steel Sustainability Australia (SSA) Level 2A Accreditation at our ACCIONA fabrication workshop in Port Melbourne, Victoria.
This certification is a recognised initiative that supports the Green Building Council of Australia's 'Responsible Products Framework' - rewarding the use of products that lower environmental impact, are transparent, respect human rights, and reduce carbon content.
Achieving SSA Accreditation demonstrates ACCIONA's commitment to sustainable practices and reinforces our reputation for delivering projects that are distinctive for their innovation, sustainability, and social purpose.
“SSA certification provides a clear path for us to demonstrate our alignment with mandating best practice environmental, social, and governance regulations," says ACCIONA's Operations Manager - Industrial, Julia Hay.
In Australia, ACCIONA has a significant and growing presence in high-end renewable projects including the HumeLink East electricity transmission line project and Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone in NSW, and the MacIntyre Wind Farm and Lilyvale Solar Farm in Queensland.
At the Mortlake South Wind Farm in Victoria, the 35-turbine wind farm was joined to a substation more than 15 kilometres away using 220kV interconnecting underground cables.
The SSA Accreditation will not only guide ACCIONA's sustainable steel production practices but also brings substantial economic and social benefits to our industry and the communities we contribute to.
ACCIONA's achievement of SSA Level 2A accreditation is another significant milestone as we continue to drive the transition towards a low-carbon economy through a greener steel industry and setting a new standard for responsible manufacturing practices.
