Ethics and Integrity

Corporate ethics and integrity are a fundamental part of ACCIONA. The Company's Corporate Code of Conduct sets out to lay down the values that guide the behavior of each and every member of ACCIONA's workforce.

 

ACCIONA Policy Book

POLICY BOOK

The ACCIONA Policy Book reflects the commitments and the principles of action applicable to the company firms regarding economic, social and environmental issues. The new ACCIONA Policy Book was approved by the Sustainability Committee in the Board of Directors in April 2018.

The ACCIONA Policy Book reflects the commitments and the principles of action applicable to the company regarding economic, social, environmental and corporate governance issues.

The Policy Book is made up of the following sections:

SUSTAINABILITY POLICIES

Sustainability and Innovation:  Includes the  Sustainability policy which is applicable Company-wide and establishes the framework for all other ACCIONA policies and standards; the Stakeholder Relations Policy and  the Innovation Policy.

The Economic Sphere and Good Governance: Includes the Anti-Corruption Policy,  Crime Prevention and Anti-Bribery Policy,  Antitrust Policy, Risk Management and Control Policy and Quality Policy.

The Social Sphere: Includes policies concerning Human Rights, Human Resources and Occupational Risk Prevention, and Social Action.

The Environmental Sphere: Covers policies on the Environment, Biodiversity, Fight on Climate Change and Water.

OTHER POLICIES

Includes the Policy on Communication and Contact with Shareholders and Investors,  Director Selection Policy,  Director Remuneration Policy and Personal Data Protection Policy.

Code of Conduct and Ethical Channel

The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to establish the values that should guide the behaviour of all persons in the Company.

This code, approved in 2007 and amended in 2011 and 2016, is the core of the Company's ethics and compliance model and seeks to guide relations between employees; actions by the latter vis-à-vis customers, shareholders, suppliers and service providers; and relations with public and private institutions and with society in general.

ACCIONA has a Code of Conduct Committee whose mission is to oversee compliance with the Code, and an Ethics Channel by which irregular conduct in connection with the Code can be reported.

This extremely important initiative provides all employees with an effective tool for raising queries and notifying possible breaches of the Code of Conduct.

The Rules of Procedure in connection with the Code of Conduct provide rules for action by employees and the Company in the event of situations that conflict with or breach the ACCIONA Group's Code of Conduct. They also establish the necessary preventive measures to identify, assess and control risks of breach of the Code.
