As part of the LGC Rail Alliance, ACCIONA alongside ActivUs partners CPB Contractors, UGL, SMEC and WSP, will help to deliver the Queensland Government’s Logan to Gold Coast project

ACCIONA, as part of the ActivUs consortium (ActivUs), will design and construct the major rail works package of the $5.75 billion Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) project.

KEY ASPECTS

The Logan to Gold Coast major rail package of works includes:

  • Doubling the rail tracks from two to four between Kuraby and Beenleigh, including all civil works and civil structures
  • Modern and accessible station upgrades, including improved park ‘n’ ride facilities
    level crossing removals at Woodridge, Bethania, Holmview and Beenleigh
  • Changes to the local road network and improved walking and cycling connections to stations
  • Upgraded rail systems, including conventional signalling and enabling works for the new digital European Train Control System (ETCS).
