The project was carried out using the NATM (New Austrian Tunnelling Method) conventional tunnelling method, through excavating the rock by mechanical means in an urban area with several services and maximized integration in the city.

Extension of Line 2 over a 920-m section, including the construction of the 108-m long Sestao cavern station
