    Vigo Hospital

    Concession for the construction of a new hospital at Vigo in Galicia, Spain, and performance of certain non-clinical services at the Vigo University Hospital Complex that houses the new hospital and two others, namely:

    New Vigo Hospital, 1,465 beds.

    Meixoeiro Hospital, 422 beds.

    Nicolás Peña Hospital, 120 beds. 


    The building has obtained BREEAM® ES A “Project in Design Phase” certification and BREEAM® ES A “Project in Construction Phase” certification. These standards evaluate sustainable construction worldwide and recognise facilities that are efficient in resource consumption, while offering a high degree of comfort.

    It won the international 2012 Future Health Project Award from the International Academy for Design and Health, for being the best healthcare project in Europe.

    Financing for the concession contract at New Vigo Hospital won the 2013 European Healthcare Deal of the Year Award from the EUROMONEY Group and its publication Project Finance. The award recognized the most important financing of its kind put together in Europe.
