Scholarship

ACCONA Energía has funded 3 scholarships through the University of Southern Queensland (USQ). This year, the successful recipients of the scholarship were: Malki Seneviratne, pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering; Parisa Aziz Ahmad, who is set to commence her studies in Bachelor of Biological Sciences; and Sherri Selimovic, who will be embarking on a Bachelor of Nursing program.

Applications for the Scholarship Program at Mt Gellibrand Wind Farm are open from February 1st 2024 until end of March 2024. The Scholarship is a one-off payment of $5,000, awarded to a student planning to undertake tertiary studies that will be of benefit to their community. Since the Program kicked off in 2018, ACCIONA Energía has supported eight students with scholarship funding, to a total value of $40,000.

Applications for the Scholarship Program at Waubra Wind Farm are open from February 1st 2024 until end of March 2024. The Scholarship is a one-off payment of $5,000, awarded to a student planning to undertake tertiary studies that will be of benefit to their community. Since the wind farm entered the operations phase, more than $50,000 in financial support has been awarded to local students through the Program.

Applications for the Scholarship Program at Gunning Wind Farm are open from February - March each year. The Scholarship is a one-off payment of $5,000, awarded to a student planning to undertake tertiary studies that will be of benefit to their community. The Program commenced in 2013, and since then, ACCIONA Energía has provided scholarship funding totalling more than $60,000 to students from the local area.

Applications for the Scholarship Program at Mortlake South Wind Farm are open from 1st February 2024. The Scholarship is a one-off payment of $5,000, awarded to a student planning to undertake tertiary studies that will be of benefit to their community.
