At ACCIONA, we are committed to leaving a lasting legacy in the communities where we operate. That commitment extends beyond the infrastructure we build to the people who will shape these regions for decades to come.

We are proud to be the naming rights partner of the ACCIONA Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman program, delivered by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW. Running since 1962, it is the RAS's premier leadership initiative for young women — recognising and empowering those who demonstrate strong leadership, active community engagement and a genuine passion for rural, regional and remote New South Wales.

    • Established: 1962, originally as the Miss Showgirl Competition
    • Delivered by: The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, with AgShows NSW
    • Reach in 2026: close to 200 young women across 172 local shows
    • Pathway: local show → one of seven Zone Finals → State Final
    • State Final: a six-day program at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, culminating in a public speaking showcase at the Showground Amphitheatre
    • The title: the State Winner serves as an ambassador for rural NSW throughout her year, representing the RAS, AgShows NSW and her local show society

Local shows. Every journey begins at a local agricultural show, where each Show Society selects its own Young Woman. In 2026, 172 shows across New South Wales took part.

Zone Finals. Local winners progress to one of seven Zone Finals, held across the state from the Queensland border to the south coast and out to the far west.

State Final. Zone champions travel to Sydney as guests of the RAS for a six-day development program during the Sydney Royal Easter Show, taking part in official duties, presenting awards at agricultural competitions and completing the public speaking showcase that decides the title.

The year ahead. The State Winner represents rural NSW at events and engagements throughout her reign, and an exchange program with Queensland Shows takes her to Queensland's State Final week.

Delivering infrastructure across regional Australia has taught us that the strength of a project is inseparable from the strength of the community around it. Regional New South Wales needs people who can lead, advocate and bring others with them — and this program has been developing exactly those people for more than sixty years.

Our support is focused on creating greater opportunities for young women across regional NSW by enhancing the reach, impact and visibility of the program. It reflects a broader commitment: investing in young leaders strengthens the long-term social sustainability of the communities we work in, through education, innovation and public engagement.

Sourced from the iron-rich Pilbara region in Western Australia, the iron ore is a key component to produce high-quality steel at BlueScope's Port Kembla steelworks. A corrosion-resistant galvanized coating is applied to enable the steel to withstand harsh environmental conditions. It is then delivered to Orrcon Steel’s Salisbury facility in Brisbane, ready for the next stage of transformation.

    Precision Cutting

Steel coils are loaded up and slit to desired widths with a high level of accuracy Each strip is inspected for quality and consistency.

    Tube Forming

Slitt steel is rolled into the desired tubular shape to create a uniform, seamless structure. Rigorous quality checks ensure roundness and straightness of the tube.

    Welding

High-frequency welding creates a strong, continuous seam. Advanced sensors monitor weld integrity in real-time with each weld undergoing thorough testing to ensure durability.

    Sizing and Straightening

Tubes are sized to exact specifications delivering tube that has a high level of straightness required for solar installations.

    Quality Processes

Quality control inspections occur at multiple points along the production process including checks in a NATA laboratory, ensure product adheres to the exacting standards required.

    Drilling & Connection

Precision drilling and shaping the ends of the components completes the production process, with the tube ready for delivery to site for connection.
