    Majadas Solar Thermal Plant

    49.90-MW plant equipped with 192,000 parabolic trough mirrors.

    Second solar thermal plant built by ACCIONA in Extremadura following that of Alvarado, Majadas; came into operation in November 2010. Its 77 kilometres of solar collectors capture the heat of the sun to produce clean energy that can cover the demand of some 30,000 homes.
